"Retreat - to retire or withdraw to seclusion or shelter"
If you have ever felt like just getting away from it all, in search of some solitude, or spending more time with those that matter to you, we think we might have something to appeal to you!
In the middle of Dorset, dotted with picturesque farms and villages, a small collection of Shepherds Huts and tents sits on a secluded hillside.
The huts have been restored on North West Farm using traditional methods - including a steam driven saw. They now occupy a unique position, offering a peaceful haven for families or groups.
Our accommodation sleeps up to 17 people - for larger groups why not bring along your own tent or camper van and have exclusive use of the 10 acre tranquil setting.
The farm is in a countryside stewardship scheme which means lots of opportunities to see Deer, Rabbits, Foxes, Hares & numerous species of birds including the rare Lapwing, Skylarks and Corn Buntings to name a few.
Staying here really does let you switch off! No TV, no internet, but lots of clean open air, countryside, wild life and time on your hands to spend as you wish - not as you should!
Guests have told us they are really surprised that they have so much space to enjoy. We think it's what makes choosing to stay with us different. You certainly won't feel crammed in. We've 10 acres to accommodate our guests using our own accommodation. It's our belief that the more space between you and fellow campers, the better your break!
Your early morning view.
